Asbestos Practical Safety Awareness

Introduction

The Asbestos Regulations require mandatory training for anyone liable to be exposed to asbestos fibres at work This includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with or who may disturb asbestos (eg cable installers- contractors) as well as those involved in asbestos removal work.

The Course Covers

All participants will be expected to participate in this section and must have suitable protective clothing for this activity e.g. coveralls, safety glasses or goggles, disposable face masks and impervious gloves.

THERE WILL BE NO ASBESTOS USED IN THE DEMONSTRATION.

As this is for demonstration purposes the protective equipment need not be to the standard required for Asbestos working.

A suitable room/workshop of reasonable size must be available for the practical session.
