Managing Lift Maintenance Contracts

Introduction

To provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the current legislation, regulations and identifying the correct people to undertake the various roles and responsibilities concerning lifts. 

It also covers the inspections and examinations that are required to be carried out on lifts. This will include the examinations that are required of electrical and mechanical items for safety purposes. 

It covers both electric traction and hydraulic lift installations and starts with the legislation that is pertinent to these lifts. 

Throughout this course the emphasis will be on carrying out duties in a safe and responsible manner.

The course is based on the current Legislation, The Lift Regulations 1997, PUWER, LOLER, British Standards and SAFED guidance notes LG1. Other sources of information include HSE documents.

Who will Benefit?

The seminar is intended for building service engineers who are carrying out Contract Supervision work for major player who requires their lifts to be maintained by outside contract teams.
