The Safe Use of Sprays and Pesticides

Introduction

The Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 requires anyone who uses pesticides in the course of business or employment to have received adequate instruction in the safe, efficient and humane use of such pesticides and to be competent in the duties to be undertaken.

A certificate of competence must be obtained by all those who use pesticides and is issued by the National Proficiency Test Council.

The Course Covers

PA1 Foundation Module:

The successful completion of this module will be a condition of entry to any other module. The candidate will be able to:

PA6 Hand held applicators (including pedestrian controlled machines) module

Course Duration

PA1 Foundation: 1 day classroom.

PA2: 2 days.

PA6: 2 days (1 if experienced). + Tests.
