18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations - (BS 7671) City and Guilds Scheme 2382

Introduction

The Health and Safety Executive Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity at Work Regulations, refers to the IET Wiring Regulations as a means of complying with certain Electricity at Work Regulations.

The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) is the standard expected in electrical installation work and the Regulations can be used in a court of law as evidence of this standard.

Who is this course for?

The course will benefit tradesmen, technicians, engineers etc involved with design, manufacturing, installation, maintenance, service and repair of electrical installations. Prior electrical knowledge is essential (alternative courses are available for those with little or no previous training/experience).

This course is a basis for undertaking the optional City and Guilds scheme 2382 qualification and delegates usually register for the exam when booking the course.

Aims

The course will enable candidates to understand the scope and implementation of the 18th Edition IET Regulations and their responsibilities under the Regulations.

3 days plus examination
Upgrade from 17th to 18th: 1 day plus examination

City & Guild examination

NOTE: This course is only suitable for delegates with prior electrical knowledge only (a questionnaire is available if required). The City and Guilds scheme 2382 qualification is suitable for registration as a Domestic Installer in accordance with Part P of the Building Regs.
