ADR Driver Certificate Course

Replaces the old HAZCHEM

Introduction

If you are an owner operator or your company are involved in the transportation of dangerous substances by road in the EC or the UK, then you are required to attend a course of training in order to meet the requirements of the 1992 Road Traffic Regulations for Dangerous Goods in Road Tankers, Tank Containers and Packages.

Legal Requirements

Drivers of vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes Gross vehicle weight who transport dangerous substances in Packages and drivers of Road Tankers or Tank containers must attend a Dept. of Transport approved course and pass a City & Guilds examination.

Certification

On successful completion of the Dept. of Transport approved course and a City & Guilds exam in each of the requirements, drivers will be issued with a Vocational Training ADR Certificate by DVLC Swansea.
