Introduction

Since 2007, this qualification replaces the City and Guilds 7302 Certificate in Delivering Learning.

The City & Guilds Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training course is perfect for you if you're teaching or training adults. You might be teaching or training people in your workplace as part of your job, or as a professional educator at a training centre, college or as a volunteer in the community.

The course is ideal for people who are currently teaching or training adults and who wish to upgrade their skills and gain an additional recognised qualification.

Course Content.

The course gives you 36 credits and is recognised by Ofqual.
The course content includes five main units, four of these are mandatory :

Delivering lifelong learning
Assessing learners in education and training
Planning to meet the needs of your learners
Using resources for education and training
You will then complete one optional unit to finalise your work and gain the qualification. You will be taught and guided by our team of expert teacher-trainers who are all lifelong educationalists and dedicated to ensuring that you qualify.

How will I be assessed?

You will be allocated a dedicated tutor who will assess your work. To progress you will complete various assignments, both theoretical and practical. Your tutor will check your work, they will also provide advice, support and guidance to you to help you achieve the standard required. There is no formal exam, however one of the requirements is that you are observed by your assessor teaching your own candidates for at least three hours. We'll arrange this with you on a one to one basis to suit your schedule
