Emergency Lift Rescue - Release of Trapped Passengers.

Introduction

This course has been designed to give staff the knowledge required to enable them to offer first line assistance and safely rescue passengers who are trapped in a lift.

Who is this course for:

Staff members who would be required to safely release trapped passengers, with minimum time delay and damage, from a building’s lift system in non-emergency situations.

This may include estate officers, maintenance technicians, porters, security staff and caretakers.

Aims

This course will give maintenance engineers and other staff the knowledge required to enable them to safely rescue passengers who are trapped in a lift.

Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will have a knowledge of lift safety procedures, a basic understanding of how a lift operates and be able to rescue passengers trapped in a lift.

The Course Covers

Course Duration

One day - small group - up to 6.
Theory and Practical.

Course Certification

Participants will be assessed during the course, those reaching the required standard will receive a certificate of training achievement.

This certificate should be refreshed annually.
