Appraisal and Managing Performance

Introduction

This course has been designed to teach managers how to deal with appraisals and how to manage performance within a care environment.

Aims

The workshop will provide an overview of the principles, theories and concepts relating to the most common forms of appraisal and presents some models for carrying out an appraisal. The second day provides an opportunity to focus on skills for the appraisor and/or appraisee and to look at some of the difficulties associated with carrying out an appraisal.
