This course has been designed for care staff.

Aims and Objectives.

By the end of the course participants will have a greater understanding of the roles and benefits of group work and be more aware of communication and listening skills.

The Course Covers

Developing active listening skills to enhance communication/interaction with residents and staff.
Exploring responding skills and the use of open and closed questions.
Developing effective communication skills, which can be used in a variety of situations.
Introducing the principles of group work
Looking at roles individuals play within groups.
Reflecting upon the life cycle of groups.
